Vappro Corrosion Control Australia
VCI's (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors) protect all recessed cavitiesĀ against corrosionĀ and works on all metal surfaces. In an enclosure the VCI emits molecules which, in the presence of moisture, hydrolise to form VCI ions. These ions are attracted to metal surfaces and form a thin mono-molecular layer over the metal surface. These ions passivate the metal and cause it to be inert to corrosion or rusting.
Vappro VCI's (also called Vapour Corrosion Inhibitors) provide cost effective total rust protection to ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
The layer of Vappro VCI protection does not need to be removed or degreased. No further processing is needed before processing or installation. The VCI ionic film barrier is self-healing and self-replenishing through further condensation of the vapour and protects even for packaging that is repeatedly opened. Protection typically lasts for up to 2 years.
